Are the artworks shown on the website original?

Yes. Every painting is an original, unique artwork created by Sophie Dumont. None is a reproduction or part of an edition.

Is a certificate of authenticity included?

Yes. Each artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Sophie Dumont, stating its title, dimensions, medium and year of creation.

Are the paintings signed?

Yes. The artworks are signed by the artist.

Are the artworks sold framed?

Depending on the artwork, a floating frame may be available. You can generally choose between natural wood and black.

When framing is available, the artwork’s listing specifies both framed and unframed dimensions.

Do the paintings arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Framed artworks arrive ready to hang.

Can I request additional photographs before purchasing?

Of course. Detail photographs, views of the artwork in the studio or videos can be provided on request.

Do the colours look exactly like the photographs?

Every effort is made to reproduce the colours of the artworks as accurately as possible. However, their appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen and the lighting conditions.

The texture and light effects in Sophie Dumont’s paintings may also change with the viewing angle.

Can I see how an artwork would look in my home?

Many artworks are shown in interior settings on the website to help you appreciate their scale and presence in a space.

If you are unsure about the size, you can also contact Sophie Dumont with a photograph of your interior and the dimensions of the wall where you would like to display the artwork.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Artworks can be shipped within France, throughout the European Union and internationally.

Paintings are carefully packaged in the studio and shipped with tracking.

How soon will my artwork be dispatched?

Available artworks are generally prepared upon receipt of the order and dispatched within two business days.

Tracking information is provided once the artwork has been dispatched.

Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes?

Deliveries within France and the European Union do not generally require customs clearance.

For orders placed on sophiedumont.com and shipped directly from Sophie Dumont’s studio to the United States, the artist covers import duties, import taxes and customs clearance fees. You will not be asked to pay any additional charges for these items upon delivery.

For other destinations outside the European Union, any import duties, import taxes and customs clearance fees remain your responsibility, unless otherwise agreed in writing before your order is placed.

Shipping costs are separate from import charges. Where applicable, shipping costs are displayed before you confirm your order.

For purchases made through a third-party sales platform, please refer to the terms provided by that platform at the time of purchase.

How are the artworks protected during shipping?

Each artwork is carefully packaged directly in the studio to protect the canvas and its frame during transport.

Can I view an artwork at the studio?

Yes. Sophie Dumont’s studio is located in Langrune-sur-Mer, Normandy, France. Visits are available by appointment.

Please contact the artist beforehand so that the artworks you would like to see can be prepared for your visit.

Do you work with interior designers and architects?

Yes. Sophie Dumont works with interior designers, architects and other professionals seeking original artworks for residential or commercial projects.
