Commission a Custom Painting

Collectors and interior designers may commission a unique painting by Sophie Dumont, created specifically for their space.

Many collectors choose to commission works inspired by Sophie Dumont’s library, landscape, abstract, or studio series, adapted to their interior and desired format.

Each painting remains a fully original creation, conceived in dialogue with the collector while remaining faithful to the artist’s visual language.

1. Commission a Painting in the Size of Your Choice

Whether you are looking for an intimate piece or a large-format painting, several elements can be adapted:

• the dimensions

• the color harmony

• the theme (library, landscape, abstraction, studio…)

• the intensity of texture and material

Each work is painted entirely by hand in oil, preserving the spirit and artistic identity of Sophie Dumont while harmonizing with your interior.

2. Diptychs, Triptychs and Multi-Panel Works

It is also possible to commission:

• a diptych

• a triptych

• a series of paintings designed to interact with one another

These multi-panel compositions are particularly suited to large walls and contemporary interiors, creating a striking architectural presence and a unique visual rhythm.

3. How the Commission Process Works

Step 1 — Personal Consultation

We begin with a personalized exchange to define:

• the desired format

• the color palette

• the type of artwork

• the overall atmosphere of the composition

Collectors may provide photographs of their interior to help guide the creation.

Step 2 — Artistic Proposal

If necessary, Sophie Dumont prepares a preliminary sketch or digital study to establish the structure and balance of the future painting.

Step 3 — Creation of the Artwork

The painting is executed in oil through multiple successive layers using the artist’s signature palette-knife technique.

This layered process creates depth, light, and sculptural texture.

The creation time varies depending on the format, generally between 3 and 6 weeks.

Step 4 — Final Approval and Shipping

Before shipping, collectors receive high-resolution photographs of the finished painting for approval.

Once validated:

• framing options are available (black or natural wood floater frame)

• the artwork is carefully packed

• worldwide shipping is arranged via DHL

Each painting is delivered with a signed certificate of authenticity.

4. Pricing

Prices depend on the format and the time required to create the work.

Each commission is quoted individually.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm the commission.
The remaining balance is due before shipment.
