A sweeping curve runs through the composition, connecting the different planes, while two red accents introduce rhythm and draw the eye.
Deep burgundies, muted greens, blue-greys, ochres, and warm whites are organized around this dominant line. The forms may suggest a body, an instrument, or an architectural structure in turn, without ever becoming literally representational.
Built through successive layers, scraping, and reworking, the surface disrupts the precision of the forms while preserving visible traces of the artist’s gesture.
